The Forensic Child and Adolescent Child Mental Health Service (The Port) was opened in 2018.

This Port is a NHS service run by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust that helps young people who are displaying behaviour that could put others at risk.

It offers advice, consultation and specialist assessment, and in some cases direct interventions for young people with high-risk behaviour, or young people in the youth justice system who have mental health difficulties. It works closely and collaboratively with all professionals in a young person’s network including health, social care, youth justice, courts, youth offending teams and education, in a whole system approach.
